SPD 2017-2020 RAPTOR / F150 LIMITED HX SERIES Helmholtz Resonated Muffler Upgrade

SPD’s HX Series Helmholtz resonated muffler upgrade is the last component to the ultimate Gen2 Raptor or HO Limited F-150 exhaust system. When combined with SPD’s equal length trombone (RDFR20EL), there is no better sounding Gen2 Raptor exhaust! HX Series mufflers are a straight through design, with no reductions or chambers inside the muffler which guarantees ultimate flow and performance. HX Series mufflers use hard pack sound dampening material which will not break down. Other brands use loose pack dampening material ( glass or metal wool/fibers) which breaks down from the harsh exhaust vibrations. A x pipe was designed in to blend the exhaust tones after the equal length trombone. 

The main purpose of the Helmholtz resonator on this exhaust system is the in-cab noise/drone reduction without making the exhaust too quiet. By targeting and neutralizing specific drone frequencies, you will still enjoy the exotic exhaust notes of the equal length without the drone. We highly recommend this system for aftermarket downpipes.
