PRL Motorsports 2017-2021 Honda Civic Type-R FK8 High Volume Intake System

The PRL FK8 High Volume Intake system uses a 6″ cone filter and a 2-piece MAF housing with velocity stacks to maximize airflow while maintaining proper fuel trims. The HDPE rotomolded air box uses the factory air duct and seal for airflow and heat-soak reduction. Custom molded 4-ply silicone connects all components without obstructing airflow. Fits the factory turbocharger inlet pipe only.

Two MAF housing options are available. The Standard Bore delivers factory-like fuel trims with no ECU calibration required. PRL reports short term fuel trims within +2-4% of factory. The Standard Bore carries CARB Executive Order D-878-8 and is street legal in all 50 states. The Big Bore is the largest MAF housing on the market, rated at 600+ horsepower, and offers a 47% increase in airflow volume over the factory MAF housing or Standard Bore HVI MAF. PRL’s engineers profiled the volute and located the MAF sensor flange in the optimal position to keep fuel trims stable. The Big Bore requires an ECU calibration/MAF scaling and is intended for builds targeting over 450 horsepower.
