Owners of the 2.3L Ecoboost Mustangs know that there’s a surprising amount of power hidden in that four cylinder package. Responsive and torquey, the OEM twin-scroll turbocharger provides a good amount of low-end torque. But who likes stock? If you’re looking for a true bolt-on upgrade for your Mustang, look no further!
The OEM Ecoboost turbo features some unique characteristics which make upgrades a bit more challenging than some other turbocharged vehicles. The stock twin-scroll turbo features a reverse-rotation design. This design limits upgade options and eliminates the majority of potential upgraded turbos. So, what do you do? Enter the Precision | Turbonetics Stage 2 Next GEN Bolt On Turbo Upgrade.
This turbo upgrade is uniquely designed to bolt directly to the OEM manifold and sit in the stock location, but to significantly increase power. The high efficiency Next GEN CEA compressor wheel provides the perfect balance of peak power and response, without giving up spool. This turbo is rated to 610 HP.
